About this article
This article describes how you can create your own shortcuts in BookingStudio.
Please note that the shortcuts that are created are "Office settings" and can therefore be used by all employees.
Search with the super search for Keyboard Shortcuts (or click Settings-> Overview -> search "Keyboard Shortcuts".
Create a shortcut
Click "Create" and fill in ...
1 - Description = give your shortcut a name.
2 - Key combination. Mark which key(s) should be in the shortcut you want to create.
3 - Type
Click on the arrow to the right of the box and select one of the options below:
- Navigate to - used for navigation, go to a specific page
- Open as popup - used e.g. to "send SMS"
- Open as popup (multiple instances) - used as the previous one, but opens a new popup window instead of "reusing" the first one opened
- Call function - used to create a shortcut to a function, e.g. The super search
4 - Function / URL
Now the next field must be filled in, and depending on what you have chosen under Type, you have the following options:
Regarding type 1, 2 and 3 you must find the url that the page you want to navigate to has.
The easiest way to do this is to go to the page and see which url it is.
Eg. if it is "Price rules" you want to create a shortcut to, then you go to the super search engine, find "Price rules" and click on the "Enter" key. You are now on the page you would like to navigate to.
Now look in the browser's address field - it says here (in this case):
installation name.bookingstudio.dk/bs/PriceManipulations.aspx
You must use the part of the url that is in red here. If it had been to another location in BookingStudio, always start the url from: /bs/...
If you need to create a shortcut from e.g. Service, there will most likely be a date after .aspx - you should not include it in the url (unless - of course - you always want to specifically hit that date).
If you have selected type 4, then there are 3 predefined options below:
- Open Super search
- Lock BookingStudio and go to Lock screen
- Change user via card scan
Now all you have to do is click on SAVE, after which your shortcut should help you navigate even faster in BookingStudio ;-)
