Add products to a property

Several products can be added to a specific property. The product may be added with its default settings, or it can be made available for the property in a specific period and/or with certain criteria. E.g. a product can be set to only be available if guests bring pets on holiday.

In order to be able to link a product to a property, 
it requires that both are created in BookingStudio. 
Here’s how to create a property and how to create a product.

Here you start

Search for the property. Select “Products” in the shortcut menu and click on the “Assign more products” button.

Add more products

1. Start typing the name of the product and the product will appear in the options.
   
   
2. When the product is selected in the dropdown menu e.g. “Bed linen”,
   then click the “OK” button.
   
   
   
3. The product is now displayed on the page for the property’s products.
   Via the black arrow you have the option to edit / remove the availability of this product.
   
   
4. If you choose to edit, you can add the period in which the product should be available.
   You can also add additional criteria e.g. that the product must be mandatory
   (note if you choose mandatory, then “default quantity” must also be filled in).
   
   
   If you do not fill in anything, the product’s general settings for availability will be used.

When adding products to a property, the default settings of the products will be applied.
If the settings are edited here for the product, then these settings will only be applied to this specific property.

Custom availability

If a period or other criteria’s have been set for a product, the product will be marked with “Custom availability”.

When the period for a product expires, the product is automatically hidden on this page. However, you will always be able to see the product again by selecting “Show previous periods” at the top to the right of the page.

Example

The above example shows how the product “Bed linen” has been changed for this property.
The dates of the product show different availability.

• In the period from 01-01-1900 to 31-10-2017, the product can be sold with the default settings of the product.
• From 01-11-2017 to 30-04-2018 the product can NOT be sold with the rent of this property. There are no dates shown here for availability.
• From 01-05-2018 to 31-12-2099, the product can be sold if there is at least one adult on the booking.

Products connected indirectly via the property’s location

If you select “Show” after the heading “Products indirectly assigned via property location”, you will get an overview of all products that are possible to link to the property.

These products are saleable at the property WITHOUT explicitly adding them to the property.
It is only necessary to add the products if you want to change the periods of availability or other criteria for using them on the specific property.

To add one of these products, use the button at the top of the page (top left) “Assign more products”, and you can search for the product in the list.
